Heritage Mining Confirms High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Melba Mine Project
VANCOUVER, BC — February 9, 2026 — Leads & Copy —
Heritage Mining Ltd. (CSE: HML FRA: Y66) has confirmed high-grade gold intercepts at the Melba Mine Project and new gold zones. The company is conducting an ongoing diamond drill program at Melba, located approximately 22km northeast of Kirkland Lake and 90km southeast of Timmins in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. The project comprises approximately 3,886 hectares and lies along the Ross Fault, a splay off the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone. This fault is associated with the McEwen Mine (Grey Fox Mine, +1Moz Au), located approximately 22km away, and the Ross Mine (+1Moz Au), located approximately 16km away.
Diamond drill program highlights include new gold zones identified during the 2025/26 drilling:
- ML3900-002: 42.57g/t Au over 1m from 72m, finished in gold mineralization, aligning with historical results UG-Q-60: 34.29 g/t Au 1.4m, UG-T-60: 14.58 g/t Au 1.98m.
- ML3850-003: 9g/t Au over 1m from 52m, hole terminated, intersected underground workings, with underground workings in the area of ML3850-003:204 E Zone showing 13.31g/t Au over 0.91m for 8.54m.
The project holds significant exploration upside, with multiple assays pending from ML3900-003, 004, and 005. Ongoing diamond drilling is underway, targeting multiple new and existing near-surface gold zones. Historical drilling data indicates gold grades increasing at depth, such as DDH 37-18: 14.24g/t Au over 4.11m from 123.9m.
Peter Schloo, President, CEO and Director of Heritage, stated that the identification of multiple new gold zones early in the program supports significant exploration potential and confirms the company’s initial interests, noting that underground results have not been properly evaluated.
The Melba Mine is situated in Northeastern Ontario, Canada, southeast of Matheson, approximately seven kilometres west off King’s Highway 11, between Kirkland Lake and Cochrane. The claim package includes single cell mining claims spanning approximately 3,886 hectares and one mining lease.
Heritage Mining adheres to a strict QA/QC protocol for handling, sampling, sample transportation, and analyses. Drill core is boxed, labelled, and transported to the onsite logging facility. Core is systematically cut in half, with one half retained as a witness sample and the other submitted for analysis. Samples are sent to Paragon Geochemical – Timmins for gold determination by PhotonAssay, with Paragon operating under a commercial contract with Heritage Mining. Paragon is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory. The Paragon procedure involves preparation codes INV-SAM, PREP-PKG, followed by analytical code Au-PA01, a non-destructive gold analysis method. After gold assays, Heritage may perform multi-element assays on selected samples using 48MA-MS.
Mitchell Lavery P. Geo, Strategic Advisor for the Company, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, reviewed and approved the technical information in the release.
