NEW YORK, February 18, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Tilray Brands, Inc. has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with the Carlsberg Group, granting Tilray the rights to produce, market, sell, and distribute Carlsberg branded beers in the United States starting January 1, 2027.
The agreement, announced today, covers brands including Carlsberg®, Carlsberg Elephant®, 1664®, and Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc®. The initial term is five years, with an automatic renewal for another five years based on performance.
Tilray (NASDAQ: TLRY; TSX: TLRY) will use its brewing facilities, sales and marketing teams, and commercial expertise to manufacture locally and increase Carlsberg’s market share within the U.S. beer market.
Irwin D. Simon, Chairman and CEO of Tilray Brands, emphasized the partnership’s complementary nature, combining Carlsberg’s global brands with Tilray Beverages’ U.S. operational scale and commercial team. He stated the agreement reinforces Tilray’s strategy of partnering with best-in-class brands and maximizing beverage operations.
Prinz Pinakatt, Chief Growth Officer of Tilray Beverages, noted that Carlsberg’s portfolio aligns with Tilray Beverages’ expanding platform and that Tilray’s brewing capabilities and commercialization expertise make it an ideal partner to support Carlsberg’s growth objectives.
Tilray anticipates the agreement will deliver scale and revenue upon commencement on January 1, 2027, as Carlsberg’s portfolio drives volume growth, expands shelf presence, and accelerates revenue.
The addition of Carlsberg’s brands to Tilray’s U.S. beverage portfolio is expected to enhance product mix, strengthen distributor positioning, expand national chain offerings, and reinforce category leadership.
Tilray also expects to leverage its operational footprint to drive cost efficiencies, strengthen supply chain resilience, and expand margin contribution.
